Just upgraded my girl friend’s laptop to Ubuntu from Windows XP. I seems to hear a lot about viruses, spywares, adwares, trojans from her, so I figure it might be a good idea to have a safer platform, which came to my mind was nonetheless Ubuntu. But I’m still on the way configurating some wine stuff to install Adobe Photoshop and Illustrator as soon as possible. Though she didn’t use that much these days, but it was like a compulsory applications of her and mine anyway. So I asked her whether she wanted to have it look like Mac or not, the answer is yes and I’m on it to present you…
Ubuntu = Mac OS X
It’s almost look alike but function is a bit different though. As known Linux is more advance user, whereas Mac OS X is everything-are-here. Anyway, I manage to create and config a panel to look like Mac’s Dock…
Dock With Tab
The only different is that in Ubuntu they use windows list like windows, unlike Mac OS X which more into graphic. I did some themes research and download a bundle of mac theme on gnome look, config a little icons, and I got it all feel like Mac, from a view it still feel like a Mac eh?
This is NOT Mac
Well, at the end of the day, it still Ubuntu ;)
