Yahoo! Widget 4
The second major release of Yahoo! widget is here now! It looks… Better than any OS design for sure! The new release include the new feature Widget Dock. Widget Dock is a simple “launch bar” that can be placed along any edge or in any corner on your display. Like Windows Vista. (Do we have “Hi, I’m Vista, Hi, I’m Yahoo!”?) Yahoo! Widget allow user to contribute their own widget just like Mac OS dashboard widget too.
It sound like Yahoo! is running both places Windows Vista and Mac OS X at the same time, very well planned marketing. With this trick, Yahoo! might as well get more hit on personal computer
As a Mac user, I’m impressed with the ability of it. Apple Dashboard is a huge memory hog when I’m capturing audio, running Photoshop or working under a load. And the widgets are always slow and unresponsive after the load works. Yahoo’s widgets are much snappier. More than 4300+ widget to choose from. But normally with Apple Dashboard I use only the calculator, dictionary and convertor.
The only thing that makes (Force) me to stay with Apple Dashboard is because of the dictionary function. Although Yahoo! Widget offer dictionary too, but it needs to be online in order to get the result, which is kind of sad. As I mentioned I use dictionary A LOT! That’s why I have to stay with the slow loading Apple Dashboard :S

I tried last time, really memory consuming for my 3 years old laptop, although many choices, but make my pc lag!!!~~~ Now see my friends all using Vista Gadgets, and it’s better, as it implemented into OS.
