I’m not sure when was the first launch but it definitely my first time encounter the new UI of iGoogle.
I like it to death! It is now included Chat, as in Gmail on iGoogle as well. That is definitely a plus point for me, especially in the office. Second best thing was the tab arrangement and the details.
Thne tabs is now arranged horizontally in tree view of all the apps I have had on the tab itself. Well, that is a good point for those who use iGoogle heavily on a tab. But am more a neat type, where I separate them into few tabs to make it more organise.
Last but not least, the Gmail function. It added all the common function I needed in Gmail itself. This has been one of the function I’ve been waiting for. Opening too much tab is not convenient for me in the office. Now that I can reply/compose/delete mail within iGoogle 
Well done! And don’t tell me that is how Google Chrome OS might work? As in simplicity, fast and light?
