The No’s for freelancer

Eventhough I’ve already registered an office myself, but I still consider myself as a freelance web designer and developer. Nonetheless, like every freelancer encounter, the clients that asked too much. I finally get myself the best fat loss supplement instead of going out for the sport due to this client.

  • Make sure the job brief
The one thing I need to change for now, is the attitude toward a project. I don’t always accept all project, but once I accept a project, I’m too rush to start it and ended up the brief is not clear. So ended up I was like, never ending job request… Add this and add that.
  • Data entry
As a web designer, it is not my job to enter the data from the existing web. Especially I did a CMS system for you to input yourself. 1 to 10 pages are fine though, but more than that is too time taking. While I was wasting my time entering each pages, I actually can get a lot more done.
  • Store email for proof
I always ask my client to email me if we did not meet up when he wanted to brief me. Even if they already brief me on the phone, I would like them to send an email for my backup and proof.

Just some lesson here, hopefully I can remember it myself too :P
