Quicktime only save files to *.mov. While in iTunes, it can be easily set to convert almost any file format to another. In iTunes, first set to mp3, since most mobile phone support mp3 as a ringtone nowadays.
Play the *.mov file from iTunes and convert it… You can easily get a part of the ringtone you want

A compete to Apple iPad?
Not exactly. We are now heading to “mobile” century. Most fashionable if not geek person likes to have one or two gadget that is mobile. Mobile phone has been widely used even a small children. Then we have mobile game console (Portable, a term we almost forgotten), then we have mobile computer (laptop), mobile hard drive and so on.
Like usual, the audience is different. Asus EEE Tablet seems like more business oriental while iPad, fashionable gadget.
Previously there was leak of how iPhone 4G may look like. The rumor goes on and on until yesterday. DigitalOne Asia told that iPhone 4G may unveil on Monday, which is, tomorrow
It was said that iPhone 4G going to wow all the consumers and Wall Street with its innovative standard of multimedia content. But I translate it as “It will be a better designed interface and, animation“. We do understand Apple policy of upgrading their system and software from time to time, correct me if I’m wrong, 6 months for software upgrade and 2 years for system upgrade?
Android however, has been keeping it development on a fast lane. With it open-source idea, thousand of developers are helping to shape the application every day. Now that is what Apple lack of. Like how Microsoft work – Slow!
In IT World, things need to speed up in order to catch up. Apple has a different marketing plan, that’s why they still surviving. They have a bunch of royal consumers ready to purchase their product. Android does not have that royal consumers, like all open-source applications. They need to topple each other on a daily basic, those developers needs the best eye cream. On previous entries, I wrote that P88 iPad alike (just alike, a really close coincident) P88 is suing Apple iPad for the design.
This week, the great Hinkley lighting is pointing at another China made iPad alike device called, iPed.
I am not sure about how real the information yet. However, it was rumor that is runs android as the system and has almost the same function as Apple iPad has to offer. Running on a lower and slower 600-MHz chip has a smaller 7-inch screen, and only support up to 16 GB of storage. Price are quote on only $150, which is, I would say, quite high end for a made in China clone Speaking from experience of buying China clone too much.
Just notice that, Apple, again had a lawsuit following their latest product – iPad. iPhone trademark issue with Cisco was settled rather peaceful, but they are from the same culture and country. Apple iPad is being sued by P88 tablet, a China manufactured tablet PC!
A lot of people are saying China P88 was actually a clone of iPad. Like most Nokia phone China made to clone.
Well, I can’t actually tell who is the inventor. You never know who leak their design first and who copy the design and so on. Whatever it is, not my problem yet
