Associate content and The Daily Mind give a lot of information about health and computer that somehow suit my need. It’s all about working environment and how it works. I heard a lot about carpal tunnel syndrome, previously I was about to have it, especially when I rush for my job in the midnight, and have not enough sleep the next day. My left arm almost can’t move. That’s scary, so I take everything slow now. Here are a few personal tips from experience.

Look at green field

Green color does not reflect sunlight as much as any other color. It helps prevent our eyes’ lid muscle to scratch, means the eyes doesn’t go tired at time.

Walk around every hour

Some say every 20 minutes. But I prefer an hour, as I need to smoke every few hours (bad habit, do not follow). Anyway, while walk away from the computer, you can always scratch your hand to prevent carpal tunnel syndrome.

Take time table into account

A lot of people who play computer games or working with computer, they forgot to eat! It happen to me so often. Though it might be effective compare to Apidexin diet pill, but it is not as healthy as Apidexin. Need to make sure breakfast, lunch and dinner are on time everyday. I got gastric because of the unhealthy schedule of eating habit.

Drinks more water, less coffee

Coffee is not good, doesn’t matter how well the advertisement planned, they lie! Drink water, plain water would be the best. It help circulating the whole body system and hey, you might need a toilet break every one hour to scratch your hand and body at the same time

I am not sure about the placement of LCD though. I placed it like 1 meter away from my eye sight. Bigger screen does help! Nowadays, many people are in online income group. This is particular important for those who work online. Freelancer, bloggers, web magazine editor and etc.

Anyway, I changed all my blog theme into this theme as well, I named it as my_default_theme. I am going to use this theme in all my blog (if any comes out later day). Well, don’t under estimate this theme because:

XHTML/CSS Strict

Everything hand coded, structured according to 950 grid system. Standard, I would say, because from the structure to the typeface has standardised according to the common standard online Well, I added some CSS3 radius border code, so it gets nasty

Clean and neat

Don’t you like to have some breath while reading blogs? I bet those who online read lots of blog as well. Black background white typeface is the worst and I would never even click into it, it hurt my eyes. Now here is one clean shit eh?

Contrast designed

Black, grey, white and blue is all the colours here. Don’t need any extra, separate them easily with eyes. Works perfectly (to the disable) without CSS as well. Big and small typeface contrast as well, so now you can quickly get how to read from top to toe

Gonna stop being too geek. It’s been few years I’m such a geek and my girlfriend has been seriously influenced by me and started to get geeky Gonna have a geek family~! Anyway, before ending this post, I have to stress this, I’m quite a broke guy now. Next month onward will all plan on saving and more saving. Well, just opened a special saving account with a bank program, then spendn almost all the money I have in my bank for all my gadget

The thing about Ubuntu were…

1, Mouse as slow as Mac OS.
Probably because they have the same core based (UNIX), that’s why. But it’s easy to get use to it though, remember, I’m a Mac user for the pass 2 years

2, System is stable, software is not
Though I have to admit, the system itself is stable, very stable. Much better than Mac if you insist an answer. Doesn’t matter how FireFox crash on me, the system don’t blink at all. Mac do, Windows = Death Blue Screen/Blink (Refresh explorer.exe). Software that is giving me the biggest headache is Mozilla FireFox. Until today I’m still having problem with FireFox doesn’t matter which OS I’m with. Lagging on loading, stop process when the page load was error. Maybe I should take a walk in Mozilla forum instead. Now I have to bear with Google Chrome at the moment, which has a better interface and better performance of course

3, Better person with Linux
Well, as far as I know, I didn’t install any pirated software in my Ubuntu. This is good, at least it shows how a person changed from pirated user to non-pirate user

Anyway, let’s just see if my freelance works well this month. If it do, I might able to get another LCD monitor for my laptop too

Since I moved my host again, so I don’t mind about the old blue theme anymore. Instead, I take a lift on my blog to make it more comfortable for myself. Firstly, because I’m gonna stick with this blog for sometimes before I open another blog. (There goes another crazy idea on blog ). Secondly, I think this blog had served me well. I’ve been looking into this blog for some tips on Windows XP and forgotten applications for Mac, both works well in this blog, so why not continue it. I believe sooner or later, there will be people finding this site as useful as I am.

As I stated on the previous entry about the changes might come and earth day. I will be shutting down my laptop and get a total darkness in my room for an hour. This would be a good time for me to meditate a little bit about my next big step in my life. Has been surround with some trouble and some dilemma for some times and it’s April soon. Time moved so fast that I need to get anti wrinkle eye cream soon. 25 years old birthday is coming near, and soon, I’ll have some commitment to made

1, I might blog more about Ubuntu.
I just get Ubuntu 8.10 CD at home, learn GIMP to crop up with Photoshop, as well as Inkscape, both for my main Adobe software replacement.

2, Tutorial on GIMP/Inkscape.
It’s been 4 years since the last time I came out some tutorial website. I would like to give out a little bit nowadays

Hmm… It’s just a few weeks I upgraded to Vista, now I wanna change to Ubuntu? Weird… Well, it’s all because Vista been pissing me off due to the software support as well, Windows XP works much more better in ZIP handling

This whole week has been a really hectic week for me. From changing myself into a working environment and the lifestyle, I kept on working on my online work which I worked double to get a triple paid, it’s not easy for sure. Saturday was the only day I slept the hell outta myself in my room And today? Continue working on my online work. Both my full time and online work are about web design and web coding, I reckon it’s the best thing in my life now. I didn’t complaint, I know this is the only way I’ll get to my goal the fastest way.

A lot of people thought working online is a hard and near impossible thing to do. Well, open your eyes to the possibility of internet. Both my girl friend and I start out at the end of July 2009. She has a good internet social life, she knows lots of blogger and manage to even get some new client. Me? Sit home start my work as a web coder Best combination. To be frank, I don’t really like designing a lot. I’m more into coding, but my full time now is about designing. But whatever it is, now is the best time to learn

1, I have to control my habit. I used to talk to myself and some weird looking sitting position. This is a big no-no in an office. I get to sit still and work like a real working man instead. There was a time when I was searching resources, the other colleagues turned to me and asked if I’m actually working or not

2, Once you sit down on the chair, the one and only thing to do is work. Here at home, I get to walk around when I want, make myself a coffee when I feel like I wanna have one, play some Freecell when I am bored or out of sight on the project. The whole schedule was planned by myself, doesn’t matter how long hour I work, as long as I get the project done on time. Unlike those who got out from medical assistant training school, they would spend more time in the hospital than at home, much like my situation now

3, Enforcement from the upstair. Really, when the boss walking around, especially behind my back, there will be a pressure coming to me. Instead of keep working on what I’m doing, I can’t focus. I don’t like people standing behind me or beside me, come and sit with me.

Sigh… Working life now started with 3 points that I don’t like, I don’t know how many more I can come out after a few more years or perhaps, days. Anyway, the motive is very important. Am I there to work for money or am I there to really learn something before I switch? Honestly, not much people can focus on the learning proccess, but I have to try

According to friends around me, due to this recession, eCommerce become one of the place to get quick order from home to the door step. eCommerce also started to boom in Malaysia as well. More and more eCommerce if not auction site are coming in to grab a piece of their territory. According to myself, it work, but not so soon yet

1, Recession only happen in countries that very much depend on US dollar, or perhaps more precise, US dollar transaction business. Malaysia is one of the country that not booming as fast as Taiwan or Singapore and not very much depending on economy share yet. Malaysia, a developing country or better yet, third world country that still using the old earning system – Work-hard-or-die-young-system. Due to the recession news that has been around for months, we all started to panic too (Which is one stupid act also) and being very good boy/girl working harder to earn the same amount of money. This means, we still able to go shopping and buy domains to earn from blogging

2, Like more Asian would have in mind – SCAM. Scam and fault systems can be seens all around Asia, especially credit card wise. Some even don’t wanna use online banking system just so they are safe from scam. So far so long, I’ve heard Japan and Taiwan are both countries that have some good go from eCommerce. In order for them to influence Malaysia, let’s take another 5 to 10 years. So those who own eCommerce now, keep it there. Make sure the eCommerce is a part time not full time.

3, I know, I know, I know. Some people says, “Hey, she has a pretty good business!”. Why not? It’s rare now and she knows people. You think socializing is an easy task? Observe how long this eCommerce jump out from the crowd and how they jump out and how long they jump out as well. Planning needed very much, but this is a good news for those very socialized bloggers

eCommerce? I’m still looking for a impact one… Hmm… Selling fancy condom online? Selling… Sellin… Selli… Sell… Sel… Se… S… …

Nevertheless, Happy Chinese New Year

Anyway, I am still wondering about how they get my contact and why contact me about a web designer position. First, I’m not a fully design student (I major Advertising after 4 semesters, consider an Art direction student instead of Art student). Secondly, not much people know I’m a web developer, unless people like, my near friends, my girl friend and my mom. Anyhow, this is one of the greatest news for me in 2009

Not only did my college called me, another company that I worked with for a year also calling me back to work for them. I was in a dilemma previously. But I have to make a decision about 1, my finance and 2, my future planning. So I choose the college job opportunity instead. Secondly, WordPress theme design was getting on track and booming nowadays, which also another good thing for me too. Let’s hope that 2009 gonna be another great year for me

I don’t know why I did that kinda research, but anyway, it’s been days I didn’t really online and surf like I did back home, which I surf more than 12 hours per day. I can assure that I did dropped my productivity a lot, including things that I needed to do like WordPress theming, blogging paid post and etc.

So the best deal is, do what I should do and get some more rest at home with television instead. Imagine a nice nice interior with a nice tv stand with a big 42″ plasma waiting for me… Because surfing the internet can cause waves of unrest too

Last night, I watch Windows 7 demo on YouTube. Honestly, Windows 7 rocks! I’m gonna get one once it launch Anyway, speaking of Windows 7, they added in big icon on taskbar like Quick Launch that built in all Windows platform since Windows 95. And the demo they’re doing, they DID not maximize the windows too. If you ask me, it IS the taskbar that make the different. Welcome to the bacon of the month club PC
