Few more weeks to go!

Chinese New Year is near, time to send out all the gift cards and that also means the longest holidays for working people Well, it’s my turn to start working now. Gonna start my job on February.

Anyway, I am still wondering about how they get my contact and why contact me about a web designer position. First, I’m not a fully design student (I major Advertising after 4 semesters, consider an Art direction student instead of Art student). Secondly, not much people know I’m a web developer, unless people like, my near friends, my girl friend and my mom. Anyhow, this is one of the greatest news for me in 2009

Not only did my college called me, another company that I worked with for a year also calling me back to work for them. I was in a dilemma previously. But I have to make a decision about 1, my finance and 2, my future planning. So I choose the college job opportunity instead. Secondly, WordPress theme design was getting on track and booming nowadays, which also another good thing for me too. Let’s hope that 2009 gonna be another great year for me

I don’t know why I did that kinda research, but anyway, it’s been days I didn’t really online and surf like I did back home, which I surf more than 12 hours per day. I can assure that I did dropped my productivity a lot, including things that I needed to do like WordPress theming, blogging paid post and etc.

So the best deal is, do what I should do and get some more rest at home with television instead. Imagine a nice nice interior with a nice tv stand with a big 42″ plasma waiting for me… Because surfing the internet can cause waves of unrest too

Well, I’m officially unemployed I don’t like the word graduated now. Anyway, been talking with some friend about some other opportunities to get some more income beside getting a full time job. This has been the talk and also the plan of most of us, because due to the raising of EVERYTHING on earth. There is absolutely no doubt that people are now looking for more ways to get income than sitting at home with their exercise equipment.

I went to my college for an interview. However, that makes me look like an idiot, a totally idiot. Well, I have to blame myself for this, because I really did not ready for the interview and has no better portfolio than all my WordPress theme work, the most ridiculous question to me today was “So? This is all WordPress theme only, do you have any others?”. I don’t know what should I ready though, because I don’t even know what is the position I’m getting right now, fuck that. If I don’t get the job there, I can look for something else, I still can afford to make some living with my online income Blogging rules!

I finally take the time to upgrade most of my WordPress powered blog. It’s all up to date with 2.7 now, however, I find the loading time… Increased! I don’t like slow loading page in all my surfing life, I don’t mind some simple design, so there I go, gonna face it for now on.

Well, I still like it, since all the plugins are still compatible with this version, which is good. I don’t need to upgrade one by one or delete some of my plugin.

The admin control panel looks better now, but I don’t like the side navigation, I like the top on more, because I get more space even though I resize a small window. Hopefully this upgrade gonna help prevent spam more unlike some simple conversion rate optimization on this kinda economic, I need productivity now!

I don’t know if I’m observing wrong thing, but I saw how Mac user and PC users has in different when surfing on their computer. I used tobe Mac user so I was getting used to the small screen, big resolution and small windows around the desktop.

Then I went back to use a PC, and I do the same thing. But I saw all my PC users friends they all using a maximized windows when browsing around their folder. Which for me, harder to choose the one at the back. Or maybe it’s because Mac doesn’t have a taskbar?

Last night, I watch Windows 7 demo on YouTube. Honestly, Windows 7 rocks! I’m gonna get one once it launch Anyway, speaking of Windows 7, they added in big icon on taskbar like Quick Launch that built in all Windows platform since Windows 95. And the demo they’re doing, they DID not maximize the windows too. If you ask me, it IS the taskbar that make the different. Welcome to the bacon of the month club PC
