If you're new here, you may want to subscribe to my RSS feed. Thanks for visiting!

Actually I forgot how it called, but it’s something like “Windows Pictures Viewer” or so, it’s the software that preview pictures, duh! Whenever I have a bunch of pictures to print for my research journal I’ll definitely look for a PC instead of a Mac, because printing from Windows Picture Viewer is just way too much easy…
Windows pictures viewer printing
It let me choose any pictures that I wanted to print in a particular folder. Now, I don’t need to adjust and put them all together in Photoshop or illustrator like I do always when I’m using a Mac :P Because…
Windows pictures viewer arranging
Everything will be arranged by themselves in a few ways according to my preferences. Simple eh? Or maybe that’s the reason people said PC is for business man? Well, in some way, it’s true, since they do print stuff. Mac? Come on… The best thing I found in Preview is just save a webpage screenshot, open pdf file and images, resize image and nothing more…

Creating Panorama Photo

Hugin logo
Doesn’t matter what kind of operating system you’re with, you have the chance to make panorama photos in a few clicks by Hugin. One of the best application I found online for doing panorama photo, this of course is also way better than Canon’s application :P
Hugin interface
Hugin has a very simple interface and it’s so friendly used compare with Canon (Ok, I admit I used to go with Canon application if not Adobe Photoshop). I went on and tried myself adding 2 photos I took way back…
KLCC ready for panorama
These photos took me a few minutes to adjust and combined in Adobe Photoshop, as I dumped Canon panorama application previously. Because it’s the most easiest panorama photos I took, so I wanted to test how Hugin works.
Hugin point to point panorama
Hugin has this point to point panorama, it helps to combine the points I made so they can link to each other for better panorama photo appearance. A few clicks later…
KLCC panorama
Yeap, just in a blink and I got myself a good panorama photo. Of course it’s not that easy to understand how the whole system work. That’s why tutorials are ready made on Hugin site to make sure you can follow up first, well, all you need to learn is Stitching two photos together and eventually you’ll get the idea how to do the rest ;) Now even if you wanted to panorama your office space Connecticut, it’s not a problem anymore ;) No extra skill but reading skill.

Illustrator Runtime error

05
Apr

The girlfriend’s laptop, with 512RAM Windows XP, has been running on Adobe CS2 for quite some time. It is so far so good. Until last few days, when she wanted to open Illustrator CS2, this message came out.

AIerror

microsoft visual c++ runtime library
runtime error!
program: …rator CS2\support files\contents\windows\illustrator.exe
this application has requested the runtime to terminate it in an unusual way.
please contact the application support team for more information.

Close and run the application again, still the same message. Turn off computer, still the same. She even tried the recovery system. Uninstall the program and install again, still the same. The frustration has get over her head since there was a pile of work to be done ASAP. Even the unpaid car insurance won’t make her as panic as that time.

When the panic time is over, then only she remembered about Google. -__-” There is no reason stated of why this runtime problem can occurred. The solution is pretty simple though.

Turn on the ‘view hidden file‘. Go to C:\Documents and Settings\~your_log-on_name\Application Data\Adobe\Adobe
Illustrator CS2 Settings. Delete Adobe Illustrator CS2 Settings.

This simple click-and-delete really works. There goes the cloudy night.
