The “Macbook Air Killer” is coming into the market to have a great fight with Apple. Dell Adamo, claimed to be the thinnest notebook in the market now. Well, whatever it is, my point isn’t about them after all. I just wanna express some thinking I have about this Adamo. This afternoon while I was giving myself a 5 minutes break in the office, a colleagues of mine showed me this impressive little image about Adamo, and he happen to be a Dell hardcore fans, from Inspiron, to Studio to XPS Studio and now Adamo, all eying ![]()

Anyway, looking into their (Dell) website, it seems that they’re branding it as a fashionable portable notebook instead of stylish. But however, I do find this notebook attractive comparing with Macbook Air. There have been too many Mac around with the exact same design, that, is one of the bad thing about Apple. They keeping their branding too much, never wanna move; once moved, they’ll move all in once – Speaking of consistency
I, myself have been following Dell product line from time to time. I think Dell has been a good PC design pioneer. They change their design accordingly. From the compact design of old Inspiron to new Inspiron (Which is a simple design compare to old ones), then studio, which speaking more about simplicity (Where the word “Simplicity” has been a heat topic among designers). Now, Dell have another product coming out extremely stand out from all their product (Beat the mini dell hands down). That is why RM7000+ (Near RM8000) price tagging for this little baby.
However, my point of view is simple. I don’t see much people carrying Studio nor XPS, why would they take the risk on this sky-high pricing notebook in this recession time? I understand the target audience differences, but I still don’t understand about the share they’re getting in ultraportable notebook market.
