Google… Again!

Recently Google just launched it web font for web developer to use. I am for one, the first to apply it onto my business site, which is just re-designed 2 days ago.

Google made it so easy to implement the web fonts and what more is, it support down until IE6 :)

The implementation is quite easy, all you need is a new stylesheet from Google,

<link href=”http://fonts.googleapis.com/css?family=Cantarell” rel=”stylesheet” type=”text/css”>

And style the font into your paragraph/heading…

h1 { font-family: ‘Cantarell’, arial, serif; }

Google Webfonts

Check them out ;)

Awesomeness 3D Desktop

This is the most awesomeness 3D desktop I’ve ever seen. Well, actually I saw it back few years, but did not bother about it and ended up forgot about it, until recently…

Google bought it over!

Yes, Google is interested on the technology and I am seeing something new feature in Google Chrome OS?

Quote from their site:

For the next week, we’re keeping BumpTop Free available for download at bumptop.com/download to give BumpTop fans one last chance to grab a copy.
Existing BumpTop Pro users should visit bumptop.com/pro for more information.

I’m not sure from when to when the one week is. But I got it downloaded ;)

Something about daily usage, Google

Who would even think about Google can grow so much, yet it still have potential to grow? From a normal search engine, that search information around World Wide Web to a money making machine (for some Internet entrepreneurs ) and a daily used web applications.

Google web

I use almost everything Google has to offer. Gmail, Google Reader, Google Analytics, Google Search and you name it. Too much depending on Google, resulting the hack from China authorities, I personally believe that.

With all standardized, or perhaps BPI training for their building around the World, China has been a good failure.

First off, China censor. They tend to censor everything that give bad impression about China. They wanted their nation to live under their circle, and wanted to impress the nation that China is a good country and the best in the World. Do you watch China news channel? Nothing much about local news, mostly International news.

Secondly, China want to be boss. Simple enough! If it wasn’t because their agreement of joining WTO, I think we all need to bow our head to China already. They made mistake, and that mistake covered or translated into, how good is China to make an International factory center.

Google has been an open-minded system. Their tagline “Don’t be evil” is telling the people not to post something evil online, because Google can find it. In China, Google is in strict watch by China government.

With all those censorship, I too support the leave of Google China. Beside the view and history (who knows, it were all fake?), nothing much China can offer.

13 billions of nation, how many do you think in poverty and can’t get a help? 5 billion? 10 billion? We need to open eyes on this issue, if China working great in their own system. All I can say, F.A.I.L!

Apple vs HTC literary Google

Obviously somebody is angry and picking up all the dumped used golf balls. Apple filled a lawsuit against HTC for 20 patents that HTC using. From sliding to unlock a phone, to multi-touch.

Apple HTC Google

Well, obviously Apple is after Google Android system. Remember back when iPad was launch and Apple’s CEO called Google a bunch of crap for jumping into mobile field and wanted to take over iPhone? Well, the anger burst and HTC getting the lawsuit… Of course, Google is backing up HTC for they are Android biggest manufacture as well as helping them developing Android.

More story to follow :)

Google out of China

Google
Google announced that it would no longer censor its Chinese search engine, even if it means pulling out of China. This is a piece wrote in Google Official Blog:

We launched Google.cn in January 2006 in the belief that the benefits of increased access to information for people in China and a more open Internet outweighed our discomfort in agreeing to censor some results. At the time we made clear that “we will carefully monitor conditions in China, including new laws and other restrictions on our services. If we determine that we are unable to achieve the objectives outlined we will not hesitate to reconsider our approach to China.”

There are people happy to see Google leaving China, and some are sad to see. Of course, uncensored information is the key of Internet freedom and should be kept. China, as a communist country, they like to look good. Go ahead and watch China evening news and you’ll notice that all the news are about how bad the World outside of China is and how proud to be a China citizen.

One question, if Google is pulling out of China. Are they going to update Google Pinyin again?

Ok, just took cla supplement. Time for a workout :)
