IE9 Preview

As I mentioned earlier, Microsoft is giving an IE9 test drive of their latest development of IE9.

Well, I got an email from a client telling me something is wrong in IE9 Preview. I was shocked that some how, some users are so keen about IE9 development progress.

In all unwillingness, I downloaded and installed the piece of software, hoping that it will work much better. Well, it did :)

IE9 Preview developer tool

Put away the crash that happen so often (it is a beta preview after all), the developer tools is definitely an improvement on IE. Especially it works much better than Google Chrome, seriously!

Testing in IE

As a web designer (here I got again, duh!) An Internet Explorer is essential, especially Internet Explorer 6, which has about 23% users are still using this dinasour. We can’t kill IE6, we of course can’t ask them to upgrade, some people rather staying at the same place for years and not upgrading.

While I was with Windows XP, there was this little IE6 stand alone packed for my convenient. But then, naughty me, I upgraded to Windows Vista not long ago, because I wanted to test Vista for a long long time and now I’m addicted to the interface, like how I did with Macintosh.
IETester
Recently I found a little software called IETester. Which can render from IE5.5 to IE8 (!) I love it!
Side by side compare
Overally it doesn’t have much function. All it did is render your page in IE and do only this, and do it well :)

One thing I should hate about IE6 is the margin/padding problem, and it does not support .PNG file type. PNG-24 has been a good friend with me :P

Google browser?

Google has posted about the new browser on its official blog, and it has posted the comic-book describing the browser…

Google browser
Google wanna compete with Internet Explorer 8. I’m quite excited to see what Google browser can offer me, since I surf a lot on the net. Safari has been stopping a lot of Javascript (Very slow loading as well), Firefox has been lagging and load very slow when first opening it. Can’t believe I can have so many complaints :P

Anyway, I’ve been using Google earth, Google map, Google Sketchup, Blogger.com, Gmail and etc. Most Google products are fantastic to me at the moment. Hope to see something from the browser as well. It’s gonna launch at 2AM Malaysia time, but I’m sleeping now though
