Intel or AMD

Yes, now I considering to get a PC instead. No more Apple or Mac anymore, I’m half done with it. I don’t have the experience of graphic software in a faster processor of a PC, so I don’t think dual processors is slow comparing Mac. PC can now install Mac OSX after all :P However, I’m still considering about the processor though, giving choice in the market is good, but it’s bad for the consumer like me :P
Intel or AMD
1, AMD winning on the pricing. I heard about the good of AMD few years back. Especially those hardcore gamers loves AMD a lot, and there is Turion 64×2 on the market now, some said it’s good, some said no. I have a friend who happen to bought a PC with that processor, good for games, bad for multi applications running.

2, Intel winning on the market so far. My Macbook is running Intel Core Dual, it is power saving even though my battery is now running old and short. However, from my experience, Intel has been a good processor for multi tasking. Last I checked was Dell Inspiron 530 desktop with Intel Core Dual :P

So far I never have experience with AMD, all computer and laptop I have had before were Intel processor. So this would be a great change if I go for AMD :? However, I have no idea about Toshiba Satellite yet. Any expert here? Due to my budget limit, I am eying an Acer Aspire laptop.

Intel Don’t Want Vista

Haha! This would be one of the greatest news and evidence to Microsoft that their latest operating system, Windows Vista is nothing but a light ostrich feathers.

“This isn’t a matter of dissing Microsoft, but Intel information technology staff just found no compelling case for adopting Vista,”

Vista is just a cover for Windows XP like all the users said. As for me, I don’t have much experience with Vista yet, just a day or two, and I probably didn’t really explore the whole Vista itself, but I did tested the eye-candy graphic Vista has and the smoothness comparing it with Windows XP. However, I believe that Windows XP is more user friendly though, especially the window explorer. In Vista, they tried to built everything in the sidebar like Mac OSX Leopard, which is… Stupid. Let’s just stick with Windows XP first and see what Window 7 can do.

P/S: January 2010 is the launching of Windows 7 as they stated. Let’s see how much longer they need to launch one operating system again :P
