Still remember how expensive it was to just upgrade your RAM? Even though it is now going into DDR3 version, but some are still looking for ddr RAM, which is about to be a dinosaur already. But the point is not this though…

What I’m trying to say is that, it has becoming so common to us to upgrade our computer RAM. 5 years back, upgrading a RAM is death expensive where you need to consider your finance before upgrading; but now, you’re looking at your machine to upgrade, is your machine fit with 4GB RAM or 8GB RAM?

Seriously, the scenario has changed, from forking out money to now consider the machine itself. Some ddr RAM still cost hundred, just because it is limited already, while DDR2 RAM is the cheapest now, where you can get 2GB for RM75 (less than USD25).

I posted that I bought a pair of 1GB RAM for my Macbook, and now, it runs like a superman, these are how it looks this days, after the upgrade…

This is the first time that they run together without lagging and of course, no crashing! Like previously, when I just use both Photoshop and Illustrator, it will crash either one of them, or crash together, man, aren’t they have a good teamwork?!

Anyway, what is RAM, friend often asked when I tell them to upgrade their ram. A ram- Random Access Memory – is a kind of computer storage, unlike hard disk, it store the data of applications/softwares that you’ve opened before, in order to make it open faster and leave more space for other applications/software, you need more RAM. That is why my Macbook runs more than 5 applications without any problem

Just came back from PC Fair, this is the first time for 2008 and I manage to get something from there.

Yes, 1GB memory stick for two It’s been quite sometimes I’m planning to get one, but the price was way high then. Well, until recently when I wanted to get it, it costed only RM74 per stick and since PC Fair was near, so I waited for the week and get for only RM58 per stick, and I was directbuy from the Kingston reseller. Heh… I wonder why I didn’t count the transportation and the walking in the crowd situation.

Now with 2GB memory I think I can less worry about the lack of memory on my Macbook when I run most my Adobe products (Photoshop, Illustrator, After Effect and Flash).

I don’t know whether it’s the applications are leaking memory or I just don’t have enough memory to run my freaking MacBook!

I was shocked when I saw this from Activity Monitor. I opened Adobe Photoshop, Illustrator, iMovie, Safari and Mail, which all of them are what I used most of the time and nonetheless they were the reason why I get a MacBook instead of PC laptop too. Well, I’ve upgraded my memory from previous 512MB to 1GB I still have something that showed me I don’t have enough laptop memory! Not to mention the slow down of this machine which caused me wasting a lot of time finishing my work. I’ve already cut down the usage of iTunes yet I have not enough memory, I wonder what would it happen if I open iTunes at the same time?

Going back home is a great news, people said it’s sweet home, but for me, this is what a bedroom I have!

Home sweet home or what? There wasn’t any pillow available by the way, I’ve spent a few night sleeping in my parent’s room like I used to haha… There was these 2 adjustable beds in the room, my mom sure having her nice night and dream all this while. And my computer? At another room, and due to some reason I has no time to make any contact with my Macbook yet, but this PC, with upgraded RAM was fantastic! Pentium 4, 2.4GHz with 1GB RAM now running smoother like never before. Got to take some times explore more into this desktop than my Macbook now
