Unlock the GodMode

If you not knowing it yet, Windows 7 actually has a master control panel built-in somewhere. Video below shows you how to enable the almightly GodMode in Windows 7!

Can’t see the text? Why not check out Wikipedia for the whole explaination?

Unlike deadbolt locks, this so-called GodMode actually is everything in Windows 7, but placing into a place, for easy finding and sorting.

Win7 GodMode

Though I have enabled it myself, but I find myself not opening it, since I already know where to go for each setting. As a normal Windows users, I think much security, account setting and etc are not necessary for me to setup.

Windows 7, familiar yet?

Searching for some information / tips / tricks for Windows 7? Well, just did some research finding this few days :P

After a year of Windows 7 user, I would say, this is one good operating system, like Windows XP SP3. However, Windows 7 still taking much memory and resources and cause heat on my laptop like how my Macbook heat problem. Win 7 up, Mac OS X down in market share wars we see how Windows 7 a success of Windows Vista ;)

4th months on Windows 7

Let’s see what I got within the past 4 month of Windows 7 users.

Software capability

Windows 7

I ran almost all the needed software without a problem. Currently installed:

  • Adobe Photoshop/Illustrator/Flash Pro CS3
  • Adobe After Effect CS4
  • CCleaner
  • Auslogic speed boost pack
  • Mozilla Firefox/Thunderbird
  • Google Chrome/Pinyin input/Picasa 3
  • WAMP
  • Microsoft Office 2007
  • Skype
  • Dropbox
  • IE9 Preview/IETester

Not sure about games though. But I’m pretty sure it fit most Windows XP and Windows Vista game though.

System stability

Windows 7 Task Manager

Unless a serious lag or there isn’t a problem with it. Start up has been improved after a little tweak in msconfig. Running way faster than Windows XP with C2D 2GHz, 3GB RAM only.

Features

Windows 7 taskbar

Taskbar started to get familiar after a few months down the road. It did save a lot of space, but still, the bug there is the active icon, which always lighting up and sometimes, even the windows choser came out and can’t turn off.

Windows 7 Explorers

Window arrangement (Or whatever it name is) is also one of the favourite feature. Though I hardly use it :)

I would of course give a try on the next operating system if Microsoft ever come out. This improvement shows that Microsoft is competitive enough but just lazy. Until tyhe fire burnt on the butt only they move, which may result a late reply as well.

Now that Ubuntu and Mac has been closely running behind to get some share in the market. Let’s see how Microsoft going to come out next :)

Microsoft on the move, fast lane

Just when most people thought Microsoft should be invited to luxury baby shower invitations, they are announcing their speed, especially the cloud computing.

Cloud computing

Recently Windows 7 team blog announced that Windows 7 had sold more than 90 million copies, and now cloud computing is the “all in” for Steve Ballmer and its Microsoft team.

It seems to me like Microsoft is taking it step, after the success of Windows 7. I love Windows 7 for its stability and the speed, period! I am not into cloud computing at the moment, I probably don’t mind a lot about it :P Well, until that one day…

Attention to illegal Windows 7 users

Windows 7
Like usual, before Microsoft even have the time to release for sell, their OEM copy already been cracked and sell on the pirate market. Of course, we can’t blame it to Microsoft for their deal with Asus and Acer for they are among the first to release OEM Windows 7 on their machine.

However, recently Microsoft taking the step on this pirate copy. Microsoft going to release an update (I’m sure it will be one of the important update) to target the activation hack.

Sad thing, it is going to happen like how Windows XP activation. On the first day of the update release, hackers will find a way to know which update to void and how to activate it and install the next update.

This is the war Microsoft has been fighting with hackers around the World. My opinion? Good luck :)
