It was only a matter of time before methods designed to illegally circumvent the antipiracy measures in Windows 7 made their way into the wild. And, in this regard, the latest iteration of the Windows client joins its predecessors, for which a consistent collection of leaked volume keys, key generators (keygens), hacks, cracks and activation bypass techniques, including those targeting OEM activation, is already available from various sources, for those that know where to look. Now, Windows 7 users can also take their pick of fresh items from the bazaar of activation cracks, and illegally prolong the life of the operating system without activating the product, and of course without buying a license, for that matter.
Seriously, how many times Microsoft have to learn from their mistake. There’s no stop on pirate-Windows-CD, all version, Microsoft failed to secure their originality. I bet most of the sale they’re making soon (or already) only on OEM machine, since buyer has no choice on the first time.
Even though Windows is a close-sources platform, but clever people still manage to get into “how-it-work” and crack it. We can’t deny that Macintosh don’t have a pirated version, it happen less, due to the limited market share.
Anyway, I believe that people don’t buy OS, they buy software. Consumer spend money on software more than on their operating system. It is always best to look for alternative business deal. For instance, Microsoft should consider lower down the operating system pricing and heavily promote their others software, especially Microsoft office. Most consumer using Windows just for Microsoft Office (and it crash like hell in Macintosh). Stop thinking about investing on those bahamas hotels and making profits, think about long term winning situation, now!
Like Windows Vista, Microsoft don’t have time to delay anymore. Windows XP has been on the market for the past 7 years and counting. Apple computer has been aggressively update their product line and do a very heavy marketing for their products. Ever since Microsoft released Windows XP, the most successful operating system ever, they calm down and focus on other software development like Windows Mobile and Microsoft Office. While Apple heavily worked on their little product called iPod.
GetAMac campaign by Apple has got to be one of the century advertisement campaign. That is why Microsoft cannot delay anymore to release their Windows Vista, which for most people, is not user friendly enough, not to mention the word “bugging”. While Apple still working on their GetAMac campaign and dramatically upgraded all their product line, Microsoft on the other hand is leave behind. That, is when Windows 7 kicked in to make another turnaround move for Microsoft.
I personally think Windows 7 might failed, simply because:
Rushing for an upgrade, even consumers has yet to use to Windows Vista
Dramatic change of features will piss the consumers instead
There will be a lot softwares not compatible with the system
Personally, I’ll be with Windows XP for the moment. I was once a Windows Vista user, however, there are little time that Windows Vista pissed me off. So far, Windows XP is the only Microsoft system that don’t crash on me, saved my anti-wrinkle cream a lot compare to Vista.
This shit caught my eyes, and I think I’m in love with Windows 7 instead Windows Vista doesn’t have so much different with Windows XP actually, if you take a deep look into Windows Vista, it just add more eye-candy on the shell, nothing much changes. I was keep thinking about bootcamp and Windows XP for sometimes, you know it’s kind of hard when I have to change my daily experience, some more, my external HDD was formatted into Mac journal, PC will never read my external HDD, and there were about 20GB of my assignments, softwares, portfolio and etc.
Just look at the Windows 7 demo video there, the windows explorer are TAB able~!!! No more list of tabs on the taskbar, all windows explorer will be in one explorer only by opening tab. Not only in tab, it can columnize each windows too. Beside this tab windows explorer, I saw that screenshot also improved, I get to choose what will be snapped But I still think that Mac screenshot is much much better though, but it’s a ncie improvement nevertheless. One more feature that it has and Mac OS doesn’t have but many users are looking for, the disk usage utility Time to get St. John villa rentals and wait for it to launch there! Let’s see when Windows 7 will launch first
